Friday Pacientes April 28 2017

This morning we awoke to a nice thundercloud off to the west. 

Our first patient of the morning, Eduardo.  He was a great patient and it was good to start the day with him.  Look closely at his tie and you will see the Tegucigalpa Temple.

Okay, so not everyone in this photo is smiling.  Handhy ( Andy ) is sad because he has to leave us and we are smiling because his treatment is complete ....

Henri dressed up for his visit with us - yes we require formal dress now and even though we thought the room was warm, he left his jacket on because he was cold.  Look closely in the back and you will see Susan's color coded cups of instruments.  She knows it is bad when I examine a patient and call 'rainbow'.

The majority of the young women we treated we just delightful and fun.  Here are a few of them.

Towards the end of the evening and we are still smiling.

Alex - our last patient of the day.  Despite 13 fillings and root canal treatment he is still happy and grateful.   It has been a great day and we even got some exercise in this morning ...at 5:30 AM.

Our first patient of the day - Elvis.  Great guy and laughed kindly at our broken Spanish. Group picture with the Christensens from Layton Utah.  You will notice the YW on the left - Lidia - has both a pink (designating which stake they are from ) and a red ( papers submitted or received mission call ) wristband.  She will find out where she will serve later this week. May 1 Monday Gracias de todo Corazon

This morning we left some money and a Book of Mormon for the woman who cleans our room and this is the note she left us.   Maybe she will install the hot tub and massage chair in our room as requested.  ha.  The Hondurans that we have met are so humble and friendly. Our first patient of the day - Marco. He awoke at 1 AM this morning to travel to the clinic.  It was 9 AM when we saw him. He was a good young man and the course of our day was set by his good nature.  Today is the 'Labor Day' of Honduras so the streets were empty except for some planned protesting which our drivers avoided and we did not get to see.   They are very concerned about our security and we will miss the speedy police escorts and armed guards around the building. A small group of us got on a bus and spent some of the afternoon visiting some families in the area that were having a hard time financially.  We took some princess dresses and the little girl...

May 2 Tuesday - Me encanta mirar para el arco iris.

Group photo taken of the dentists and hygienists taken just as we got to the building.   Great group of individuals that want to serve without recognition or accolades. Group photo of the dental assistants.  The cutest one is in the front in the middle in dark blue.  Some are students wanting to get experience before applying to hygiene or dental school, some are children or spouses, and others are just there to help where needed...er... they ALL want to help - so don't read that the wrong way. Our first patient of the day, Genesis..
